sites that inform us about the weather we can see the weather conditions we will face.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Temperature<\/strong>: Extreme temperatures can affect the performance of the drone, especially the battery, resulting in less flight time<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weather<\/strong>: make sure that the weather conditions are suitable for the flight, after we do a visual check.<br \/>\nAvoid flying when there are wind gusts, rain or low visibility. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11478\" src=\"https:\/\/patrasdroneacademy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/%CE%A3%CF%84%CE%B9%CE%B3%CE%BC%CE%B9%CF%8C%CF%84%CF%85%CF%80%CE%BF-%CE%BF%CE%B8%CF%8C%CE%BD%CE%B7%CF%82-2024-09-12-102217-300x277.png\" alt=\"-09-12 102217\" width=\"456\" height=\"422\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>3.2 Selection of the Flight Area<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Safe area<\/strong>: choose an open area away from obstacles such as trees, buildings and power lines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Common<\/strong>: Avoid flying near crowded areas or places where you may cause a nuisance or danger to others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>  Before Takeoff<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>4.1 Flight Checks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flight simulation<\/strong>: if possible, run a flight simulation to make sure all systems are working properly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Calibration<\/strong>: Calibrate the drone&#8217;s compass and gyro to ensure flight accuracy, it is advisable to do this every 15 flights or if you move 100 km from the area where you last calibrated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4.2 Functionality Check<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Engine check<\/strong>: test the engines before take-off to ensure that they are working properly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Signal check<\/strong>: check the signal strength between the remote control and the drone to avoid interruptions in the connection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Battery check <\/strong>: We check the charging rates of the battery.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Camera check <\/strong>: We look at our camera to see if it gives a picture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>RTH<\/strong>: Confirmation of Return To Home operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11480\" src=\"https:\/\/patrasdroneacademy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/%CE%A3%CF%84%CE%B9%CE%B3%CE%BC%CE%B9%CF%8C%CF%84%CF%85%CF%80%CE%BF-%CE%BF%CE%B8%CF%8C%CE%BD%CE%B7%CF%82-2024-09-12-102527-300x269.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"550\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>  During the Flight<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>5.1 Monitoring the Drone<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visual contact<\/strong>: always maintain visual contact (V-los) with your drone so that you can control it manually if necessary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contact<\/strong>: Monitor drone data such as battery status and distance from take-off point, altitude &#8211;
